[Junior] Brand Strategist 

 

As a junior brand strategist, you will work closely with brand managers, digital media specialists, videographers, photographers and various client teams to develop methods to enhance a brand’s visibility. This role balances creative, analytical, and strategic thinking to develop marketing strategies that raise brand awareness, improve a brand’s positioning, and generate revenue.

Reports to: Brand Manager 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research on clients’ current communication strategies, marketing strategies, and customer profile, and/or 

  • Conduct high-level research related to a client’s competitors, examining current marketing and branding trends within the client’s industry

  • Prepare brand strategy documents and write copy for direct-response projects (catalogs, fundraising letters, sales emails) and content-marketing materials (blog posts, webpages, product pages, social media post, email sequences, case studies, press releases, newsletters and video scripts)

  • Conceptualize and produce shareable content across multiple social media platforms 

  • Edit photos and videos, as needed

  • Monitor and respond to social media comments and direct messages, for assigned clients, as needed

  • Analyze social media analytics and SEO tool

  • Develop reports (monthly and by campaign) to measure success of social content

  • Identify trends and key insights for what works, what doesn’t, and how to optimize content


 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Combine analytical and creative elements to devise short- or long-term strategies to position a brand 

  • Successfully collaborate with creative teams that can include web and graphic designers and video production crews

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be resourceful, creative and professional

  • Must be excellent strategic thinkers, able to develop big-picture strategies and develop marketing and advertising plans that align with a brand’s goals and objectives

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; exceptional research and comprehension skills

  • Must be versatile, organized and willing to work under pressure of constant deadlines on varied and diverse projects/subjects

  • Must be a self-starter, show initiative, assertive yet tactful, takes constructive criticism well and easily adapts

QUALIFICATIONS + REQUIREMENTS

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field (Preferred)

  • Must have a personal computer 

  • Must have access to reliable wifi 

 

EXPERIENCE
Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop: 1+ years (Preferred)

Social Media Management: 1 year (Preferred)

SALARY

$38,000.00 - $41,000.00 per year

 

SCHEDULE

8 hour / day

Monday to Friday
